Accessibility Policy

At The Guest House at Field Farm, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all guests. Built in 1948, our mid-century modern house retains its original design and layout, which may present accessibility barriers for guests with disabilities. Below, we have provided a detailed description of the property’s features to assist potential guests in making an informed decision about their stay.

Accessibility Barriers:

  • ADA-Compliance: We do not have ADA-compliant rooms or facilities. Unfortunately, the property is not wheelchair accessible, and there are no roll-in showers, wider doorways, or other ADA features available.
  • Entrance: To access the house, guests must navigate a single 8” step.
  • Guest Rooms: Five of our six guest rooms are located on the second floor, accessible only via stairs. We do not have an elevator.
  • The Gallery Room: For guests with limited mobility, we recommend the Gallery Room located on the first floor. This room has a step-up into the bathroom with a grab bar for additional support and a step-in shower for ease of use.
  • Common Areas: Once inside the house, all common areas, including the dining area, are on a level surface and accessible to guests who can navigate the initial step into the house.
  • Parking: We do not have designated wheelchair-accessible parking, and there is no wheelchair access from the parking lot to the entrance, guest rooms, or common areas.

We strive to ensure that every guest can visit our property regardless of their physical abilities. To comply with the ADA, we:

  1. Enable individuals with disabilities to make reservations during the same hours and in the same manner as those without disabilities.
  2. Provide detailed descriptions of the features in our bed and breakfast and guest rooms to help individuals with disabilities determine if our accommodations meet their needs.
  3. Guarantee that specific rooms, once reserved, are held for the reserving customer.
  4. Allow guests with legitimate service animals, as defined by the ADA, access to all areas of the inn available to those without service animals.

We are committed to assisting guests with disabilities to the best of our ability. If you have any special accommodation needs or require further information, please contact us directly. We are happy to help you determine whether The Guest House at Field Farm can meet your accessibility needs.
